Jon Bon Jovi praised by Nashville police after talking a woman in crisis off a bridge

The kindness of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi helped saved a woman in crisis on a Nashville bridge.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department praised Bon Jovi, 62, and his team for persuading the woman to come off the ledge of the bridge, releasing a video of the incident.
In it, Bon Jovi and a member of his team can be seen speaking to the woman standing on the edge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge above the Cumberland River in Nashville.
After a moment, they help her back over the railing, where they continue to talk to her, as Bon Jovi holds her shoulders and embraces her.
“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” Nashville PD Chief John Drake said on X. Bon Jovi and his team were in Nashville filming a music video, according to the BBC.
Bon Jovi also operates a charity, the JBJ Soul Foundation, which aims to help “those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness” starting in Philadelphia before quickly expanding nationally, according to the foundation’s website. He’s released his latest album, “Forever,” this June after he underwent surgery on his vocal cords in 2022.
